BayRoute — Privacy Policy
Sheikh Group
Last updated: 8 September 2026
BayRoute is a work application. A business installs it so that its own staff —
warehouse managers, salespeople and delivery drivers — can map the shops they serve, plan
routes, record visits and log deliveries. There is no public sign-up: your employer
creates your account and decides what you are able to see.
In short. We hold the account your employer created for you and the
work you record with it. The app does not collect your device's location
— it never asks for it and cannot read it. It shows adverts from Google AdMob, which
collects its own data as described below. We do not sell anything about you to anybody.
What we hold
- Your account. Your name, work email address, an optional phone
number, your role, and whether the account is active. Your employer enters these; you
do not.
- Your password. Held by our authentication provider in a form we
cannot read. Nobody at Sheikh Group or at your employer can see it.
- The work you record. Visits and deliveries — which shop, which day,
the outcome, any note or reason you write, and your name against them, because a
colleague needs to know who called on a shop.
- Photographs and signatures you capture as proof of a delivery.
- The shops themselves. Business name, postal address, contact person,
business phone and email. These are your employer's business records, entered by
them.
What we do not hold
- Your location. BayRoute does not ask for location permission and has
no ability to read where the device is. The pins on the map are the shops' own postal
addresses, held by your employer. Nobody is tracked.
- Your contacts, calendar, or files other than a photograph you
deliberately take or choose for a delivery.
- Payment details. The app takes no payment and has no purchases.
Adverts
BayRoute shows adverts supplied by Google AdMob. Google receives
technical information from the device in order to serve and measure them — an advertising
identifier, IP address, and general usage and diagnostic data. That collection is Google's,
governed by
Google's privacy policy,
and you can read how Google handles it there.
BayRoute does not ask for permission to track you across other
companies' apps and websites, and does not do so. On iOS this means adverts are less
personalised, which is the trade we have chosen.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase — the database, sign-in and file storage behind the app.
Photographs and signatures are kept in a private store and are reachable only through
short-lived links issued to people already allowed to see them.
- Mapbox — draws the map and turns a shop's written address into a
point on it. Mapbox receives the addresses being looked up, not anything about you.
- Google AdMob — the adverts, as above.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except
where the law requires it.
Who can see your work inside the app
What each account can reach is enforced by the server, not by the app on the phone. A
driver sees the shops on the routes assigned to them. Managers and administrators at your
employer see the business's records, including who recorded each visit — that is the point
of the app, and your employer is the one who decides it.
How long it is kept
Account and work records are kept while your employer runs BayRoute, because a shop's
history is a business record. Your employer can deactivate an account, which ends access
immediately, and can ask us to delete records.
Your choices
- Photographs — the app asks before using the camera or your photo
library, and you can refuse. Proof is optional on a delivery.
- Adverts — iOS Settings › Privacy & Security ›
Apple Advertising, and Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking,
control what advertisers may use.
- Your records — ask your employer, who controls the account. If they
cannot help, write to us at the address below and we will.
Children
BayRoute is a tool for people at work. It is not directed at children and we do not
knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
